he really wanted, though), and he asked me to take a picture of the Clone Trooper that came with it. So I threw together a little desktop studio and came up with this. Did some Photoshop to take out the light glares on the helmet. I’m pretty happy with it. Also threw some basic filters on it for effect.
This was fun. I haven’t take much in the way of photos since the quarantine began.

New Lego is always fun! Today I built a small set Microcenter had last time I was in there, it was a technic Class tractor.
Those pics look great too.

Oh those are good. Legos are actually very difficult to photograph owing to being tiny and highly reflective under direct light. Great shops too.

That 501st set he wants is super popular, and very hard to get hold of. One guy bought 200 sets when they were first put on sale. They go on sale tomorrow at midnight on Lego.com, and they will probably sell out in a matter of minutes. My son and I drove 45 minutes one way today to try and find one in Killeen (see the photos I posted today of the Datsun hot wheels and the BMW), but we struck out.

Thanks. I mostly just had to take out the bright light reflections, and I’m by no means a PS expert. Very far from it. But I am pleased with how these came out.

AAT is better than the little walker. Fight me. That little speeder is pretty cool, though. The figures in the AAT seem better and more unique, too.

The figures drive everything. My son basically paid $40 to get two mini figures.

I kinda was thinking that. If they included those two with the 501st set I don't think anyone would get the AAT

That 501st is, I think, a strong set. It’s the Troopers everybody is after, but the speeder and the walker are very cool.

Oof - I love Lego, but values can go crazy sometimes. At least around here Target always has the best stock and selection on Lego sets.
I found a half put together batman set in my basement and when I went to look it up they were going for several hundred dollars on eBay assembled with no paperwork or boxes! I have no idea if I have all the pieces or not so it stayed in a box until I can figure out what to do with it.
I've always drooled over the UCS and other specialty sets but can't bring myself to spend more than $100 on a set usually, it's just a really fun hobby for me.
